FACILITY MEANS 300 JOBS IN TUPELO
(TUPELO, Mississippi) –
A customer call center that initially will employ some 300 workers will open next month.
Gov. Haley Barbour and the Community Development Foundation will make the announcement this morning at the Advanced Education Center.
The call center will be housed in Hall E of the Tupelo Furniture Market's Mississippi Complex, which was closed during last month's fall market.
The name of the company will be revealed at today's announcement, and it is believed that the company is a national third-party administrator of product warranties and other services.
The call center would be the seventh, and largest, in Tupelo. Franklin Collection has some 200 employees, CSA has 117 and the recently opened Waste Management has about half of its 110 workers hired.
